Untersee & Rhein
During the last ice age, the mighty moraines almost cut off Untersee from Obersee. Only the Seerhein still connects the two bodies of water, which together form Lake Constance.

Description
Flatter than the Obersee is the Untersee, less undulating, calmer, perhaps finer, as the lovers of this corner like to say.
The water landscape offers a variety of perspectives in a small area. Especially from the lake, new vistas open up over bays, peninsulas, islands and the lake, which narrows here into a river course. Reed-covered landscapes alternate with attractive resting places, small harbors and picturesque villages.
