Beschreibung
What awaits you?
At regular intervals we show you the artists of the Höri - those painters of classical modernism who lived and worked on the Höri peninsula of Lake Constance from 1933 onwards. Work complexes by Max Ackermann, Otto Dix, Erich Heckel, Curth Georg Becker, Helmuth Macke, Jean Paul Schmitz, Walter Herzger and many others are in our collection. Our second focus is the presentation of current, contemporary art from the Euregio Bodensee. In addition, we present artists from the German southwest, landscape paintings of Lake Constance and the Hegau since 1900 or international artistic positions. All this we show you in regularly changing, thematic or monographic exhibitions. Thus, we always offer you new insights into the art of the four-country region of Lake Constance and the German Southwest from 1900 until today.
Our new air-conditioned exhibition rooms offer not only the best light for the presentation of paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and sculptures, but also the best conditions for the temporary setup of installations, space-related interventions, video projections and object art. To ensure that you have a pleasant, stimulating stay in our museum - all visitor services have been brought together centrally in the new foyer and the entire building has been made barrier-free.
We cordially invite you to our exhibitions, cultural events and guided tours, or to the museum's educational studio. No matter whether you are planning an individual visit and want to round it off in the museum café, are looking for an offer for your group or want to come to us with children, young people or a school class - we look forward to your visit!
