House Ulrika in Hegne Monastery

Haus Ulrika - a place where you can simply be there. Sister Ulrika Nisch, who was born in Mittelbiberach in 1882 and joined the order in 1904, is particularly revered at Hegne Abbey.

Barely 31 years old, she died on May 8, 1913. Sister Ulrika had a deep understanding of the plight of others and enjoyed a high level of authority among all, which came to her through the credibility of her simple and deep piety. She was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1987. Many believers visit the crypt under the monastery church to find comfort and support or to thank Sister Ulrika for the help they received.
