The church, which was inaugurated in 1913 in the presence of Grand Duchess Luise von Baden, was redecorated fifty years later as the original interior no longer suited contemporary tastes. In 1988, the paintings were uncovered again, old fragments were restored, and the chandelier was reconstructed. The stained glass windows also shine in their former glory. Today, the church is once again a rare example of an ornamental-style painted church in the western Lake Constance region.
