In addition, 120 imaginative mythical creatures adorn the walls, designed by 75 dedicated students from Singen, adding an extra dose of cheerfulness underground.
The tunnel is not only an artistic highlight but also an important connecting route: it leads from Singen train station directly under the tracks toward the Maggi factory and connects the downtown area, the northern part of the city, and the southern part of the city. The tunnel was designed under the direction of designer Bert Binnig in close collaboration with Sauter GmbH Singen and local students.
