It is one of the most beautiful natural monuments on Lake Constance and takes you deep into the hilly landscape of the Bodanrück peninsula: the wild and romantic Marienschlucht gorge, which is around 100 meters long and only one meter wide in places, is a natural experience that you don't come across every day. There is a seasonal kiosk and a barbecue area on the lakeshore where you can enjoy a snack. Depending on the season, it is possible to take a boat trip from here to Sipplingen, Ludwigshafen, Bodman and Überlingen. Also worth seeing are the ruins of the nearby, 700-year-old Kargegg Castle, which was burned down by rebellious peasants in 1525.
