Singen Observatory
Dear stargazers, we welcome you to visit our observatory and take an extraordinary journey through the universe.
Beschreibung
The Astronomische Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Volkssternwarte Singen e.V. was founded in 1983 by a group of amateur astronomers and is based in the Zeppelin-Realschule in Singen am Hohentwiel. The Singen Observatory is a non-profit association with the aim of making astronomy accessible to everyone.
For its members, the observatory creates a space where like-minded people with an interest in astronomy and space travel can meet and exchange ideas.
The observatory is often visited by school classes, groups and clubs. We offer various lectures about the universe in our club room. Astronomy itself encompasses many disciplines. In addition to physics, it also includes chemistry, biology, technology, history and philosophy. This makes astronomy very suitable for teaching science in an exciting and holistic way, especially to children and young people.
The observatory includes a club room and the star dome on the flat roof of the secondary school.
