Wegebeschaffenheit
Friedingen, a district of the town of Singen, was first mentioned in 1090. The castle “Hohenfriedingen”, also known as “Friedinger Schlössle”, is the landmark of the district and was built in the 12th century under the lords of Friedingen. The castle is the only remaining knight's castle among the 7 castle ruins in Hegau. Hikers can fortify themselves with food and drink in the castle walls and large beer garden.
ATTENTION: Inquire about opening hours beforehand! In the banqueting hall, parties for all occasions can be celebrated on a grand scale (weddings, birthdays, company parties, etc.). In keeping with the history of this castle, historical knights' banquets are often held, which are well-known and popular far beyond our region. While Friedingen used to be more of a rural community, it has now developed into a residential community with a good infrastructure.

Wegbeschreibung
From the starting point at the Schlossberghalle, the route first leads through the town center, past the town hall and the church of St. Leodegar. This dates back to the 13th century, making it the oldest and only twin-towered church in the current area of the town of Singen (Hohentwiel). The trail continues past the cemetery and then first flat, then uphill to Friedinger Schlössle. From there, there are great views of the Hegau region and Lake Constance. On Sundays, the local beer garden invites you to take a break.
ATTENTION: Check opening times beforehand! The route continues through the castle courtyard down towards Buchberg. Along the Buchberg you return to the starting point of the hike to the parking lot at the Schlossberghalle.
