The Hegau-Bingo – Small Village View Tour isn’t a traditional bike tour, but rather a playful exploration experience that lets you discover Singen’s neighborhoods in a whole new way.
What makes it special is the principle of “quiet discovery”: There’s no equipment, no preparation, and no set rules. Instead, the surroundings themselves become the playing field. At the “Dorfblick” stations in the villages, wooden sculptures, children’s benches, and bingo boards invite participants to take a closer look and consciously take in their surroundings.
This is where the true character of Hegau-Bingo comes to life: children and adults discover together small, often overlooked details of village and natural life—from church bells and farm sounds to typical landscape features and everyday moments. The “bingo” happens in your head, not on paper.
Between the stops, the bike route connects the villages and winds through the diverse Hegau landscape. Particularly impressive is the section between Volkertshausen and Mühlhausen-Ehingen, where, on a clear day, the sweeping panorama of the Hegau volcanic cones opens up, clearly revealing the region’s unique landscape.
The tour thrives on the alternation between physical activity and mindful observation: cycling, arriving, observing, and continuing on. It is precisely this rhythm that makes it particularly family-friendly, relaxing, and exciting all at once.
The Short Dorfblick Loop is therefore less of a fitness goal and more of a shared experience—an invitation to rediscover your own surroundings and to consciously reconnect with the everyday.
The Long Dorfblick Loop is the extended version; it not only connects the three districts, but also links seamlessly with the River Discovery Trail and the Aach River, starting directly from Singen.
Autorentipp
If you're traveling with children, keep in mind that the Dorfblick stops are the real destination. If you set aside time here to play and explore, the tour will feel more relaxed and much shorter than the number of kilometers might suggest.
Wegbeschreibung
The Hegau-Bingo – Kleine Dorfblick-Runde is designed as a closed loop through three districts of Singen. Hausen an der Aach is a particularly suitable starting and ending point; alternatively, the route can also be started flexibly in the other districts.
From Hausen an der Aach, the route first runs along the Radolfzeller Aach toward Beuren an der Aach. The path runs mostly through natural surroundings right along the water and offers a peaceful, particularly scenic start to the tour.
In Beuren an der Aach, there is a “Dorfblick” station featuring a wooden sculpture, a children’s bench, and a bingo board right by the water. It marks the first designated stop on the tour.
The route continues to Volkertshausen, which is a great place for a break or a stop with places to eat and drink. The route then continues toward Schlatt unter Krähen, where another “Dorfblick” station invites you to explore the surroundings.
From there, the route heads back to Hausen an der Aach, completing the loop.
The route is mostly flat, easy to navigate, and ideal for families. The “Dorfblick” stations are intentionally located within the villages, structuring the tour as a sequence of activity and breaks.
Ausrüstung
All you need is a road-safe bicycle and weather-appropriate clothing. We also recommend bringing drinking water, a small snack, and, if desired, a picnic blanket for breaks at the Dorfblick stations. A helmet is especially recommended for children.
