In the event, which is based on a triathlon, several hundred participants compete in the disciplines of swimming, cycling, inline skating, mountain biking and running. With a length of almost 45 km, the racing bike course is the longest of the five competition courses.

Just under 500 meters in altitude, over 45 km, in around 1.5 hours - these are the key data for the racing bike route for participants in the Lake Constance Megathlon Radolfzell. Of course, you can take a little more time for the route, but otherwise you cover the same distance as the participants in the Megathlon. From the starting point in Radolfzell, the course runs via Moos to Gaienhofen and then in a wide arc through the forests on Schiener Berg, before passing Rielasingen-Worblingen and returning to Radolfzell. The route is mostly flat with two prominent climbs.
Directions
The tour starts at the Herzenbad in Radolfzell. From there, you cycle through the Radolfzell Ach estuary nature reserve to Moos. You cycle along the country road with occasional views of the lake via Iznang, Gundholzen and Horn to Gaienhofen. In Iznang you pass a beautifully situated lido. Cycle past Horn and Gaienhofen close to the lake to Wangen. Only here do you leave the lake and tackle the biggest climb of the tour. Shortly after the rails, you reach the highest point of the tour and a short recovery phase begins for your calves. From there, the route descends in several bends until you reach Bohlingen. The rest of the route is leisurely without any major climbs. The route continues through Worblingen and then finally to Überlingen am Ried. Stay on the country road and cycle back to your starting point in Radolfzell.
Safety note
You may cross the "green border" into Switzerland unexpectedly. We therefore recommend that you carry your ID with you on all tours near Switzerland.
Equipment
Don't forget appropriate clothing! Sun and rain protection and above all a bicycle helmet should always be with you. It is recommended that you have enough drinks and some provisions with you.
