Wegebeschaffenheit
The Galgenberg circular trail circles Bohlingen's local mountain on an easy, almost 3 km long hiking tour. Numerous wonderful views over Bohlingen to the Schienerberg and Lake Constance await hikers. Various information boards along the circular trail provide information about the fauna and flora, the history of Bohlingen and wine-growing on the Galgenberg. Two spur trails branching off from the circular trail lead to the “Blattform”, a viewing tower from which you can enjoy sweeping views in all directions.
Wegbeschreibung
The Galgenberg circular route can be started at three different starting points. This description of the circular route starts at the field cross on the K6157 connecting road from Bohlingen to Singen. From there, the route leads over Bohlingen to the Schienerberg on a flat stretch towards Bohlingen and the vineyards on the Galgenberg. Parallel to the steeply rising mountain, the trail continues until a small path branches off to the left up to the summit. There you have the option of taking a detour up to the summit. At the top there is a lookout tower in the shape of a leaf. This is why this tower is also known as the “leaf shape”. Back on the main trail, the route heads east past the Marienkapelle chapel. Where the landscape opens up again with a view of Lake Constance, the trail first turns left and then follows the paved paths around the Galgenberg. You pass various farms and reach the northern entrance to the “Blattform”. The circular route now leads downhill with a view of the Hegau mountains to the starting point at the field cross.
