The Randen lies to the north of Schaffhausen. On the tour, you cross the German-Swiss border several times and can enjoy the view of the beautiful landscape from above.
The route is 93 kilometers long with a maximum gradient of 15% and 1,050 vertical meters.
Directions
From Radolfzell, take the footpath and cycle path in the direction of Moos and continue to Iznang. At the entrance to Iznang, turn right up to Weiler and continue from there to Gaienhofen. Once there, turn right and cycle along the Lake Constance/Rhine Valley cycle path via Hemmishofen to Öhningen-Wangen. In the center of Wangen, turn right and follow the small road "Zum Schienerberg" to Schienen.
In Schienen, follow Schienerbergstraße for approx. 200 m and then turn left onto Waldheimstraße. After the inn, follow the dirt road downhill for 2.8 km, keeping to the right. Pass the Litzelshauserhöfe farms until you reach the Waldheim. Turn left there and shortly afterwards keep left twice more and follow the little road to Hemishofen.
In Hemishofen, after the railroad tracks, turn left onto the main road and then right onto the Rhine Valley cycle path for approx. 450 m. At the Bibermühle fork in the road, turn right towards Ramsen. Follow the main road to Gailingen. In Gailingen continue in the direction of Büsingen. From Büsingen via Herblingen, Stetten, Lohn to Opfertshofen. At the end of Opfertshofen, turn left at the junction to Hofen and continue to Büßlingen. At the traffic circle turn left towards Engen and immediately right to Binningen, in the center turn left onto the Weiterdingen cycle route. At the Weiterdingen junction, take the cycle path towards Duchtlingen, then turn left towards Mühlhausen. In Mühlhausen head towards Singen, at the traffic circle turn left towards Volkertshausen, then immediately turn right twice and follow the cycle path to Hausen. In Hausen, turn right onto "Zur Sulz" and immediately left again onto the local road. Follow this road to Friedingen. Continue straight on until you reach Beurenerstraße, then turn left and immediately right again onto the cycle route via Steißlingen to Radolfzell, the starting point.
