Short cycle tour over the unknown Bodanrück

There is plenty to see, so take a camera with you to capture the beauty of nature.

From Allensbach railroad station, the route leads along Hafner Straße past the Schmieder clinics and the small Baderle pond. Along the edge of the forest, the route turns left around the Tafelholz to the idyllic Simmelried. It is worth leaving your bike here for a short while and exploring the narrow path directly on the shore. There are numerous impressive anthills to discover along the way.

At the next junction, the path leads left in a gentle curve to the southern edge of the Bussenried. Continue in a north-easterly direction through an open meadow landscape until you reach a crossroads. Turn right there and circle the Mittelmoos before the route runs along Allensbacher Straße for a short distance, then past Mühlenhalder Hof and along the Mühlenweiher pond on the right.

Passing the Dürrainhof farm, the route continues along Freudentaler Straße to Kaltbrunn. Here, the quaint village pub “Bunte Kuh” invites you to take a break. Alternatively, you can fill your picnic basket with regional delicacies at the end of the village in the farm store of the Müller organic farm (please note opening times).

After 1.5 kilometers on Markelfinger Straße, the path branches off to the left into the forest and leads to Bündtlisried - a natural paradise covered in water lilies that invites you to take a quiet break. The route continues through the forest, over the B33 overpass and along Holzgasse back to Allensbach railroad station.
