On the outskirts of Radolfzell end of the 30s in the last century was the Allotment Altbohl. The aim was to create a large garden for self-catering for young families uniform settlement houses.
Today the Baumwiese complement three large herb beds with medicinal plants and herbs. More than 60 varieties of plants bloom from May to September full glory. Celandine, bloodroot, nettle, tansy, Gundermann and much more can be found on the lawn area as medicinal herbs. At the borders of the garden shrubs entwine like raspberries, red, black and white currants, elderberries, blackberries and more.
Almost all plants are further processed in the household to jams, jellies, herbal salts, teas, tinctures, oils or macerates passionate by the owner. The herbs are dried in a secluded pergola. This serves as a resting place after work. A special feature are in the nature garden two bee colonies that not only provide delicious honey, but also ensure the fertilization of trees, shrubs and herbs. Borders are neither mowed nor cared about hedgehogs and insects natural sites to offer. Also found in tree stumps, nest boxes or under the house roof boxes mice, blackbirds, finches, a great spotted woodpecker and sparrow their snug living home.
